You never knew it was there
For all those times that you needed to change the position, magnifcation and scaling effect in the kind of hurry that couldn't wait for System Preference to load I have a tip for you. Actually, it is another fine tip only for pros, so recreation macinbytes beware.
Truth be told, a mere control click (or right-click for PC minded crowd) on the seperator of The Dock will actually bring up a contextual menu that contains all of these things. Read a more pro description here

Apple - Pro - Tip of the Week
I was checking out Exposé Show-off Trick #2 on Apple's site. It is filed under the Pro section. The tips all come from Mac OS X Panther Killer Tips, which includes that very killery tip. In my book that is not the most Killer Tip in the world, but that might be gauging it on they have for ColorSync in OS X. That is actually helpful, you should really check it out if you haven't already.
That Apple site seems to be really good with its Pro section to its site, including the Words section's homage to Eric Meyer. I found that one hilarious because it was the only one that had its quotes not done in images, which I can only assume was on Meyer's insistance.
I think that perhaps the only part that sucks is the Tips section of the site sucks, especially the Exposé trickery. If you need to use Exposé and the Genie to impress a Windows user you apparently don't know about insults. Insulting anyone who even uses Inter® at all is a goodly bit of fun for the average mac user, certainly more entertaining than explaing what the hell an AltiVec instruction is.
